TN PG medical seat allotment:

Post Graduate medical seats in India are filled through NEET PG exam. Post Graduate medical seats in Tamilnadu are divided into AIQ and State Quota seats. This article will provide you the merit list and list of candidates allotted to the Post Graduate seats in Tamilnadu. 


What is NEET PG?

It is an national level examination for the admissions in post graduate medical courses. In India,post graduate medical seats are lower than the MBBS seats (approximately 25,000 seats all over India). So, the demand for postgraduate seats are increasing every year.

Many students prefer one year break for Pg preparation after completing MBBS. It will provide adequate time for NEET pg preparation.

Every year there are more than 1 lakhs students are appearing for NEET pg examination. It will increase in the following years.


Is NEET pg is the only option?

After completing MBBS,many job opportunities are available,they are

- combined medical service examination for medical officer post.

- state government examination/ requirements for the medical officer at primary health center (PHC).

- medical officer in army.

- post graduate diploma degree examination.

- NEET pg exam.

- physician in a private hospitals.

- starting a clinic.

- medical director in the district.etc.,


NEET pg and NEXT:

Neet pg is going to be replaced by the NEXT exam in the coming years. NEXT consists of two phases NEXT-1 (during final year) & NEXT-2 (after CRRI). Both NEXT 1&2 marks are considered for post graduate admissions.  NEXT is expected in the year 2023.
