Microbiology is a branch of science which deals with the living organism that are only visible under microscope. Medical microbiology deals with the causative agent of infectious disease of man,his reaction to the infections, the process in which they cause diseases and techniques for their diagnosis.
Development of microbiology is due to the work done by Louis Pasteur ( father of microbiology), perfection of microbiological studies by Robert Koch, introduction of antiseptic surgery by Lord Lister and countributary works by Paul Ehrlich in chemotherapy.
Now, microbiology is an important branch of science in medical field. The textbook of microbiology by Dr.CP Baveja guides the students to understand the basics of microbiology and is application.
C P Baveja microbiology book consists of general microbiology, Immunology, bacteriology, virology, mycology and clinical microbiology.
